Reformatted the Article a Bit
I moved around the order of the BETM article a bit. Would be nice to fill in some data on each of the subsidiaries. Thanks Davisfreeberg for getting things started. Jonathan Stokes 23:58, 14 March 2007 (PDT)
Still Reformatting
Davisfreeberg, great work adding new content. I suspect the "Company Profile" section is getting pretty large; it may flow better to break that up into different sections/headings. I may attempt to rearrange things tomorrow. Feel free to revert my changes if it doesn't work! Jonathan Stokes 23:33, 19 March 2007 (PDT)
- Update: Okay, I broke up "Company Profile" into 3 different chapters to make it more digestible. I think the Headings make more sense now, at least to me! Feel free to tweak or change. Fun to watch this article develop. Jonathan Stokes 23:43, 19 March 2007 (PDT)
- Update:2 I added one more key employee to the leadership section and found one of the Director's executive agreements. I also started a list of hotels using BETM's services. Our annual report is due out anytime within the next 30 days, so I'll be able to have a more analytical discussion once we see updated numbers. In the meantime, I am having a terrible time trying to figure out how to reference something, but not list multiple times. Is there an html code or style that I need to use in order to refer to a document multiple times. Also I am unsure of the proper citation protocal for articles. Do you list date, title, publications. Just wondering what is ideal, it would be nice if I can keep all the citations consistent. Davisfreeberg 22:16, 29 March 2007 (PDT)
- DavisFreeberg, no problem....
- First Reference...<ref name="Yahoo">[http://www.yahoo.com Yahoo]</ref>
- Second, third, fourth...<ref name="Yahoo"/>
- Example...
- Great work on the article, by the way. Cheers, Jonathan Stokes 23:12, 29 March 2007 (PDT)
Beefing Up Content
Jonathan Stokes, thanks for the formating changes, it helps to provide me with an incentive to find and share more information about each sub heading. I will continue to update these sections with things like the individual hotels held in each subsidiary and the revenue/earnings growth that we've seen since BETM took over each hotel. I'm waiting on a lot of this because new earnings will be out shortly and I want to keep it up to date. I added another insider to the leadership section and updated the wiki to show their current holdings in the company. I'm in the process of trying to find their employment agreements and will update as I continue to dig through a decade worth of SEC records. --User:Davisfreeberg
- Impressive! Jonathan Stokes 11:16, 22 March 2007 (PDT)
- I reformatted a table, but it might be overkill. Feel free to revert, edit, or suggest a change. :) Jonathan Stokes 23:05, 29 March 2007 (PDT)
I like the table, the names of the casinos themselves don't tell the reader anything, but it's a starting point for getting a feel as to what types of properties they sell their gaming services through. The table is a much better way to organize it. I just found the Nevada gaming board's site tonight, it is a goldmine for public filing info, it is surpising that there is so much info on such a little company. Once I can piece it all together on the wiki, it will make a lot more sense. Keeping it updated will be easier then building out the content to begin with. thxs again for all the help --User:Davisfreeberg
Added more content, started framework for demonstration of growth. Will add more numbers when annual report is published. All of my linking to the SEC documents has moved that page to the first search result for BETM.ob it's kind of funny because before you would get the quote. Beware the power of the ValueWiki and it's google page rank. I'd much rather have investors who read the SEC docs then those who don't anyway. --User:Davisfreeberg
- Davisfreeberg, top notch work. When I have a chance tomorrow, I will take a pass for typos or anything helpful I can do with formatting. Great job. Jonathan Stokes 23:22, 3 April 2007 (PDT)
BETM.OB
Recent article in Casino player magazine have this stocked rated well. Stock growth expected and shares are to rise. 61 casino's currently running kiosks. More to come.
Leroy's (BETM) is finally getting their program together...they are going to pick up some new places to have Leroy's place their Sports and Horse books in Laughlin, Nevada..a very proment place in Nevada...Within 2 weeks we should be getting some good news and the stock will start to move up and up... Nevgreco 19:57, 12 April 2007
I hope to get in the future, Leroy's Sunday Sports radio shows to show more information, because they are put into the Leroy's archives were people outside of Nevada can punch in and listen...So we will have to speak the the right people on that and perhaps come up with some new ideas..It will be a Sports radio program coming from Las Vegas to all the people out of town..at least that kind of thought...This is all proto type..AWI is growing and we have to go with it... - I added some more background information on key employees. I'd like to develop out the valuewiki for some of our partner casinos as well, but that will be a low priority until we can get this one done. It's been kind of neat watching this article develop out over the past few weeks. It does sounds like some new casinos are on the way, as well as a few ownership changes amoung our partner. I'm thinking that since BETM's website includes the list of 60 casinos where we are located, that instead ofusing a table we should point to that. On the table I was thinking we could highlight the most significant partners, partners that could be at risk because of ownership changes, partners who might be upcoming from information outside of BETM and potential partners that could compliment our expansion. I'm not sure the best way to format this list, but will try and at least get the infrastructure in place this weekend. Before or after I make the changes, I'd be interested in hearing feedback on the cleanest way to track this kind of information. Davisfreeberg 10:58, 13 April 2007 (PDT)
Table Formatting
Davisfreeberg, sounds good. Here's a possible suggestion for the table. You can experiment on this subpage, BETM/Table. That way you can "sandbox" different drafts without worrying about disrupting the article.
I'm not sure how comfortable you are with HTML? But I am happy to go in and format your data however you like. Once things look good we can copy/paste the table into the article. Jonathan Stokes 12:12, 13 April 2007 (PDT)
