Company Analysis
Paris Hilton aside, most people use public storage because they have too much necessary junk and they can't imagine getting rid of it. Hey, the pioneers crossed the country with little more than a trunk full of necessities - knives, ammo, primitive contraception to try to prevent the misses from getting preggers on the trip - but now the 24-year-old soccer mom driving the Toyota Sequoia she bought on credit has more for her two-year-old stuffed under the seats. And that brings us to PSA, Public Storage. A genius idea, especially now, when peoples homes are being foreclosed on and they're moving into little apartments and can't keep all their crap. What to do if you can't get a bigger place? Rent a storage unit, pay monthly, and if you don't pay it's all seized and sold at auction - then, the space is cleaned (or not) and the public storage company calls the next guy or gal on the list. They can't lose, really.
