Mission

From ValueWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

ValueWiki's Mission is to create the most efficient and comprehensive investor research tool possible. The goal of each article is to provide a comprehensive summary and links to all available research for that topic. ValueWiki is dedicated to presenting information with accuracy, neutrality, and civility among its members.

The Project Goal is a complete user-written catalogue of all U.S. securities. Visit the Project List to see securities and topics in need of coverage.

The Five-Fold Path

  • ValueWiki is unbiased. All articles must be written from a neutral point of view. Most investment information comes from potentially biased sources: company press releases, paid analysts, or fellow investors. Be careful to present all information in a balanced and impartial manner.
  • ValueWiki is civil. Respect your fellow value-wookies even when you disagree with them.
  • ValueWiki avoids redundancy. Much content, such as corporate biographies and investment definitions, already exist very well on other sites like Wikipedia. Whereever possible, link to those sites and don't reinvent the wheel. ValueWiki's focus is on efficiency.

Support Wikimedia

ValueWiki is built on the Wikimedia platform. Wikimedia is a non-profit organization with the goal of providing free information to every person in the world. Visit Wikimedia and donate money to support the Wikimedia Foundation.
