February 27, 2007 Chinese stock sell-off
On february 27, 2007, a sell-off in Chinese stocks triggered worlwide selling in both developed and emerging markets. in that session, FXI lost around 10% at the close ( around 12% intraday), while the NASDAQ, the S&P 500 closed between 3 and 4% lower. FXI (and Chinese stocks) rebounded early in the next session.
