Force Protection, Inc. is the world's leading manufacturer of mine- and blast-protected vehicles, which have been used to support armed forces and security personnel in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and other hot spots around the world. Its products include the Buffalo, designed principally for route clearing activities; the Cougar, a light weight vehicle that is used for urban patrol, route clearance support, utility transport, and special unit activities; and the Cheetah, a light-armored vehicle that is used for reconnaissance, forward command and control, and urban operations.[1]

Partnerships
The company has experienced substantial growth by entering in partnering agreements with other leading defense industry manufacturers such as Armor Holdings and BAE Systems, as well as a recently announced joint venture company with General Dynamics, merging Force Protection's proprietary designs with the manufacturing capacity necessary to meet increased demand.[1]
