  • 3. The same user can win multiple times
  • 4. All winners are eligible for the grand prize
To Participate
  • Make great edits and contributions

Winners will be announced by 1:00am EST

Winner Criteria
Judging
  • Zach and Jon are the contest judges. The goal of our contest is to encourage and reward great ValueWiki contributors. We will explain the decision behind each daily winner by 1am EST on The ValueWiki Blog. Zach and Jon will be checking the ValueWiki User Voting, so if you feel there is a user deserving of recognition, feel free to vote for them and build your dot karma.
Quality
  • We are looking for accurate, sourced, relevant information presented with Neutral Point of View. If you post referenced due diligence that does not yet exist on any other internet investment site, you have a great chance of winning.
Quantity
  • A user can attract our attention by having a high edit count. Some users may complete an entire article. Others may add brief but vital content to dozens of pages. Regardless, quantity is nothing without quality. We are more likely to select a user with 1 great edit, than a user with 100 poor edits.
Exceptions
  • A good Wiki requires many different kinds of users and we want to recognize all of them. Many Wiki writers prefer to only do edits, finding spelling errors, wording, and formatting. Other Wiki writers offer great ideas and insight into improving the Wiki via the community portal and message board discussions. And still other Wikis are good sumaritans, adding value by welcoming, teaching, and encouraging newcomers. We hope to reward examples of all these users.
Charity
  • If on any day the judges determine that no entries suit these quality criteria, ValueWiki will donate that day's $100 cash to The WikiMedia Foundation. The WikiMedia Foundation is a charitable organization devoted to developing and promoting the MediaWiki software and making human knowledge freely accessible by everyone in the world. Click here to learn more about the WikiMedia Foundation.
Payment
  • Prizes will be deposited into a PayPal account at the email address you registered on ValueWiki. ValueWiki will send you an email notification that you have won, including PayPal instructions. Log in to PayPal using your ValueWiki email address to claim your prize money. PayPal is free and the account setup takes about a minute.
