Fidelity Investments is one of the three largest fund families in the world, along with Vanguard and American Funds. Fidelity has $1.2 trillion in assets under management as of the end of 2005.[1] The company has over 21 million investors and operates over 300 different funds.[2]

The company's two largest funds, Contrafund and Magellan, both have over $50 billion in assets. For many years, Magellan was the largest in the United States. It was run by Fidelity founder Ned Johnson, and later by the legendary Peter Lynch. The current manager is Harry Lange, the previous manager of the Fidelity Capital Appreciation Fund.
